IAAF World Junior Championships on CONICA Track
The 2008 IAAF World Junior Championships in Athletics will be held on the new CONICA running track in the Zdzislaw Krzyszkowiak Stadium in Polish Bygdoszcz from 8 to 13 July 2008.
Just after one of our Polish partners finished the installation of more than 11,000 m2 of our IAAF certified full pour CONIPUR M system, the track was successfully tested on site by an IAAF accredited test institute. Based on this, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) issued a Class 1 Certificate - the 17th for CONICA and the 1st for the Polish market.
Kazimierz Janczarek, CONICA Sports Sales Manager in Poland for many years and responsible for this project, proudly says: “The young athletes will come across excellent conditions to compete on the new track at the highest stage!”
On the one side, the compact surface layer allows optimum performance and on the other hand, the high force reduction protects the athletes ideally.
“The new running track looks fantastic because of its gorgeous blue colour. It is similar to the one we supplied to the Olympic Stadium in Berlin a few years ago”, adds Janczarek.
The IAAF World Junior Championships in Athletics are open for junior age athletes of 18 or 19 years. The event has been held biennially since 1986.
